I am fully committed to giving my stories a visual life of their own...
I’
m Bettina Moss, creator of this documentary project. I am a child of New York although I now live in Los Angeles. I have worked in the development end of the film business, in academia and as a novelist.
I believe the sharing of art is most powerful when in the service of community. By portraying these intimate stories it’s possible to convey the breadth of our cultural experience of 9/11. Hopefully viewers can form a deeper connection and understanding of the event.
BIO
In addition to filmmaking, I’m also a screenwriter and novelist.
Previously I created the MFA in Professional Screenwriting Program at National University in California. During that time I was fortunate to receive a COIL Fellowship for International Online learning under the auspices of SUNY and the NEH.
I also was awarded a Fulbright Senior Specialist candidacy with a specialty in cross-cultural storytelling, which originated during the COIL Fellowship.
Prior to academia, I was the managing story editor at HBO Films.
The underlying research for this documentary project, ‘Finding Daylight’ has been accepted into the permanent collection of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum of lower Manhattan.
